It's All Circular

Hi everyone!
It's Teri, and I am thrilled to be back on the blog for
The Twinery today!
I love twine and I love circles so I am bringing you a
sweet little card today that mixes them together.

Check out all those circles.

Each one was made with a little bit of
Lemondrop and Marschino twine.
My favorite is the one with the big bow in front.
It’s totally easy to make one like it.
Here’s how you can.

Start by punching or die-cutting a circle from patterned paper or cardstock. I find text papers are particularly great for a technique like this because they go with every color of twine.

Wrap one strand of twine around the circle.
Knot it in back. Snip the excess twine away.

Flip the circle over and tie one more piece of twine around the front. This time, tie a bow with the twine.
Again, snip away the excess twine.

Now, things are going to get a little tricky. Flip the circle so the back is facing up. Liberally apply tape over the twine so it doesn’t move around on you. The more tape you apply, the better.
The end result is something like this.

When it comes time to apply it to your project, use something like foam tape or dots to adhere it down. Not just will the circle pop off your project, but it will also help keep the circle from looking warped.

See you again soon!
