Operation Julie's Smile Blog Hop

Happy Friday, everyone...we're so glad that you stopped by our blog today!
Today is a very special day!

Today is the FIRST DAY of...

We are taking part of an amazing blog hop benefit organized by Sweet Stamp Shop to honor one of our own...Julie Ranae! She's our own Design Team coordinator, but she is near and dear to so many of you out there as well. Anyone who knows Julie or has the opportunity to work with her, knows that Julie's heart is big and her organization skills are crazy amazing!

Here at The Twinery, we don't know what we'd do without her!

Recently, Julie has come into some tough times...poor Julie has been having horrible teeth issues. Here's just a taste of what Julie has been dealing with...

A few weeks ago, Julie Ranae had to have emergency oral surgery resulting in the removal of her two front teeth. At that time, the dentist believed the best course of action would be to remove the rest of her teeth and replace them with permanents (as to avoid *years* of dental work). Relieved at finding a solution to this major dental problem that Julie has on-goingly been dealing with...she visited the dental office for dental surgery that following week. Unfortunately, it wasn't the visit she was expecting. After the consultation and scheduling the surgery, the surgeon's office informed her that she would need to bring $4000 back to the appointment with her and THAN they would proceed. This amount would not include the actual dentures to follow (total cost of everything needed is around $7000)!

That's a large amount of money for anyone...but when it's needed on the spot and without knowing beforehand...it's quite a lot to deal with - emotionally & financially.

So....here Julie is today, sitting without front teeth that were pulled with the belief that they would be replaced immediately.

It is an overwhelming experience for our dear friend and one that we hope our creative community can help with.

 So...are you ready for this?!!?

Over 120 creative bloggers have come together to create the Operation Julie's Smile Blog Hop!!

We're just one of the blog hop stop's along the way (and we couldn't be more thrilled than to have a part in this special benefit for Julie)!

We know that 120 blogs in one blog hop is HUGE...can't say we've ever seen anything quite like that before...but we know it's going to be an amazing adventure! So, if you'd like to help Julie...if you'd like to come along for a fun ride through bloggyville (and have the opportunity to win over $2500.00 worth of prizes that were donated by various companies)...then buckle up!

The Twinery has donated an Ultimate Twine Bundle...so hop along and enter to win!

>>>>  If you've come from Kyra Sanders blog...you're in the right spot! <<<<

We're in full Halloween mode over here, so we thought we'd share a quick and easy way to package up your little Halloween goodies this season!

We created these simple gift tags and embellish tiny boxes of goodies with just a few supplies...but it makes for a cute & simple design.

You'll need:
Cardstock - we used Coredinations' line of cardstock (Black, Orange & White)
2" Scallop Circle Punch - we used EK Success brand
1.5" Circle Punch - we used a Marvy Uchida brand punch
3D Glue Dots
Craft Adhesive
Crystal Gem Stickers
Small hole punch

To create one gift tag...all you need to do is...

Punch out one 2" scallop circle, one 1.5" circle and one pumpkin punch. Layer the pieces, using adhesive or 3D glue dots for a dimensional look. Top off the pumpkin with a little sparkle! Then just string the twine through a punched hole at the top of the gift tag...tie the twine and tag around your little box and viola!

It's so easy, but it's so adorable...and a perfect way to package up those ghoulish treats this Halloween season!

And for an added twist, if you don't have a pumpkin punch...try using fun stickers or other embellishments as well!
