Today we have a special treat for you!
Jaimee, from Bushel & Peck Paper, is with us today to share her super cute twine pansy idea! Jaimee was one of our very first customers back in our early days...and she's a 'local' business owner too (based in the Philadelphia area)! Shortly after Jaimee ordered her twine from us, she posted a photo on our Facebook Page of her adorable packaging idea...
Isn't that twine pansy so cute?!
Almost more the any other photo posted on our Facebook page by our customers...that photo has received the most inquiries - our fans and customers needed to know HOW DO WE MAKE THAT TWINE FLOWER???
So I contacted Jaimee to ask her if she'd share her little secret with us! She laughed at first...saying how completely easy it was to make...and I said PERFECT! Easy is the BEST!
Jaimee was so sweet to provide us with her easy "how-to"...
Step 1: Choose your favorite Twinery shade...our NEW favorite is their Honeydew!!!
Be sure to cut a large enough piece of twine - I find if you wrap the twine around the item at least 4 times, that's usually plenty.
Step 2: Start as if you were wrapping a gift, wrapping the twine around the middle, then crossing it on the back, continuing around the opposite sides to meet in the front again.
Step 3: When meeting the two ends in the front, tuck them under the twine that lays vertically across the middle...see photo.
Step 4: Tie a simple "half" square knot & pull tight.
Step 5: Tie a standard bow pulling tight to secure loops.
Step 6: Repeat Step 5 two more times but this time be careful not to pull too tightly (which will unravel the previous bows).
Step 7: Trim ends and VOILA, there you have it. A sweet little package that's Pretty as a Pansy!
Simple as that!
We just absolutely LOVE this simple idea! It's great for product packaging, gift wrapping and even card-making & scrapbooking! With this super simple way to create these twine blooms...I see a lot of twine pansies showing up everywhere...
THANK YOU, JAIMEE!!

Here's a little more about Jaimee and her adorable paper shop, Bushel & Peck Paper...
I started my paper business about eight years ago while my husband & I were expecting our son. Having decided to leave the office life for the role of Mommy, I knew I'd need a project to keep me busy while staying home with our little guy. With a BFA in Fine Arts, I've always been fascinated with design and finally began to put it down on paper. After a lot of encouragement from friends and family, I decided to take the plunge and Bushel + Peck Paper was born. To my surprise, things took off.
Bushel + Peck Paper specializes in children's parties & decor but we're open to just about anything you can put on paper. We've been lucky enough to have had the opportunity to work with several party planners across the U.S. and as far as Australia. I absolutely LOVE my job!!!
You can visit Jaimee all over the place...
We hope you enjoyed Jaimee's Twine Pansy Tutorial!
Be sure to visit her and let her know if you make one (or two...or three...)
