It's Katrina from Paper, Scissor and Glue back with another idea 

on how to use twine on your layouts!  

Now, I am a layer it, embellish it kind of girl.  I am of the house "more is better",  BUT what I did with this layout can be done to any layout, even if you are a clean and simple scrapbooker. (side note...I LOVE clean and simple layouts, I just can't seem to do them...ask anyone that crops with me!)  Everyone has little embellishments that you add to your layouts, whether it is chipboard, lettering, buttons, or a simple tag.  You can use twine on ALL of those!  And The Twinery baker's twine is wonderful to do this with!  The color ranges make it EASY to add a bit of twine here or there.  

At first glance, there is a lot going on, but once you look at the layout you start to 

pick up on little details....like the twine!!  I used just the Caribbean color on my layout, 

because it flowed with all the other colors!  

I used the twine to accent my chipboard border and the heart/star combo in the middle.  

I love to make double strand bows out of my twine...I am addicted to making them!

I then noticed that the sign on the doghouse would be perfect for a bit of twine.  So, I took a short length, tied knots in each end and used a brad to "hang" the sign from.  

I did use a glue pen to adhere the twine to my layout so that it would lie flat.  

And just in case you were wondering, this is Higgins!  

He is a very vocal Cardigan Welsh Corgi...one of three in the house!
