Valentine's Day Balloons

Hi again everyone!!  It's Jen here from Jen's Ink Spot!  I've been working on ideas for Valentine's Day and wanted to share a fun one with you!

I've had this idea in my head for a really long time and finally was able to put it into card form!  I thought it would be so much fun to make the hot air balloons into heart shaped balloons and then stitch the hearts with twine from The Twinery!  This idea can be used for events other than Valentine's Day, but I chose to go with a V-day theme for this one.

To do this, I took my twine and a large holed needle with a sharp tip and stitched the border around the heart balloons as evenly spaced as I could.  Then I used pop dots of varying thickness to give the balloons dimension and depth.

I wanted to add a little more to my balloons so on the largest one I also tied the twine through the button holes and attached it to my balloon with glue dots.

This photo shows you the dimension and depth of the balloons a little better.  Hopefully you can see how the small white heart isn't popped up quite as much as the larger red heart to give the card extra depth.

Isn't it fun how much a little twine can do for a project?

Thank you so much for stopping by today!!  Have a great day!
