A New Twist for Scrapbooking Pages

It's Katrina here to share some ideas with twine for your scrapbooking pages!

I saw this paper with the scalloped square in the middle when going through my paper the other night.  I sometimes struggle with these types of papers, trying to figure out what to do with them.  Then I had a thought....let's outline the shape in twine!!!

This is very easy to do, but I am not a perfectionist when it comes to anything on my scrapbook pages...I just go with it!  Just get a glue pen...(for example, I used a Martha Stewart glue pen that when you press the tip the glue comes out in a liquid form and when dries is still tacky) and then trace around the shape you want to outline.  I only did 1-2 scallops at a time.  Then as you lay your twine down, you shape it.  I used one continuous strand around the page.  The roll The Twinery twine comes on is GREAT for this...nothing got tangled!

I used the Lemondrop color to outline the scallop...LOVE this color so fun and cheery!

I love to wrap things around my pictures to accent the picture....here I used both the Lemondrop and the Mandarin to wrap around and then tied a bow...

And I couldn't get enough of this yummy Mandarin....I mean...look at it.....makes me crave some oranges!

Then I decided that the stamped tag needed a little something.  I got to thinking about how to make a flower.  So, I just wrapped the twine around 3 fingers....13 times (my lucky number!).  Tied a knot with a smaller piece of the twine in the middle of the loops and then just fanned the loops out.  Added the sticker in the middle and viola...flower!!!

Hope you enjoyed my layout and tips!  If you create something let us know here, email us, or post on Facebook, we would LOVE to see what YOU do with The Twinery Baker's Twine!!!
