Tifany's Twine Tips - A Twine Storage Idea

Hi! It's Tifany and I have a confession to make:

I LOVE my spools of Twinery twine!

{Of course...so do my little kids. My littlest loves them so much that he likes to unroll them and get all tangled in the string.}

It's not just him - my spools also love to roll around themselves...off the bed and across the floor when I am crafting. So I decided to try to make something that would keep them a little more under control.

I bought a set of pint-sized canning jars (I found 12 at WalMart for under $8) and used my Crop-A-Dile Big Bite to put a hole in the center of each lid.

Having the hole in the lid allows me to easily grab any length I need.

If I happen to unwind too much {or my son decides to have some fun} I can stick the extra back in the jar and keep on crafting!
{No need to even wind it around the spool again as long as it is not tangled.}

{This photo was taken of a real incident that recently happened with the help of my 1 1/2 year old.}

The canning jars can also work great for holding and displaying your beautiful Twine Sampler Pack:

Stay tuned as I hope to share more Twine Tips soon!

  6. Love this idea! Just need to get a shelf hung, so the little one can't reach the jars. Such a pretty display.
