Hana Ami May Flowers

Hi Everyone, Kathy here with another project for
The Twinery's

I've been blown away by the gorgeous projects The Twinery Design Team has created over the last couple of weeks!   If you haven't been following along, be sure to go back and check out their creations!  I decided to pull out my Hana Ami flower loom to create some twine flowers for my project.

This frame and the easel are made completely from paper.
I used my Silhouette to cut out the pieces.

Once the frame was put together, I decorated it with the flowers I created with my flower loom and some Sorbet, Blossom, Honeydew and Ocean twine.

I mixed the flowers with some paper flowers to add some texture.

I thought this was the perfect frame for this picture of me, my mom and my daughter from a few years ago...the colors coordinate so well!!

We'd love for you to play along with our challenge!  You have until Friday, May 24th at 11:59 pm to link up your May Flowers Project.  You can find all of the details and the link-up widget here.

One lucky winner will get a fun prize from ScrapbookPal.com!

Saying 'Love U' with Flowers

Hello everyone Stacy Rodriguez here with you today sharing my take on the May Flowers Challenge.  You can see how to enter this super cool challenge HERE!

I created a card for this one, with some cream colored flowers and a big bow of twine in the middle of them.  The color of twine I used on this one is Pink Shimmer, I thought it went so well with the pattern paper I used.

Thanks so much for joining us today here on The Twinery blog, make sure you join in on the fun and give this challenge a shot!

Paper May Flowers

I love flowers. They always seem to bring a smile to my face, especially if they hand-picked and are presented in the sweaty, dirty hands of my kiddos. Hi, I'm Monika and I wanted to share with you a secret...I like to create home decor that presents a positive message.
Some days, I find it's nice to walk by and see uplifting words
to remind me how good my life really is.

Here's what I created for the latest challenge round:

I love to pick up these mini canvases, they're perfect for gifts and quick projects. I popped a piece of cardstock on top of the canvas, which I trimmed out with Buttercream baker's twine, created my paper flower on top of that and then to dress up my flower a bit more, I added a twine ball in Shore to the center. For extra bling, I added another twine ball alongside my stamped sentiment.

Wouldn't this also be such a welcome surprise for a co-worker going through a rough patch? I sure think so!

Be sure to link up your May Flower Challenge projects on the original challenge post here where you can get all the details on how to win a fabulous prize!

I hope you have a good day!

Sewing Seeds in the May Flowers Challenge

Hello!
It's Tifany here and I am loving this new challenge! We've had so many great projects shared in our challenges, so we
hope you will join us for this fun one!

For this challenge I wanted to use this floral seed packet stamp and decided to make a tag in my version of a seed packet. (I added in my own personal challenge to create a purple project since it is Lupus Awareness Month and today is "Put On Purple" day.)
I stamped the image, added a bit of depth with Copic markers, and then scored and folded to create the "packet"

I cut a tag to fit inside and then added a reinforcement and eyelet at the top of the tag, then I used The Twinery's Purple Shimmer twine as the finishing touch - love it!

Daisy a Day - May Flowers Challenge

Welcome back a little 'sweet' inspiration using
this week's Challenge Theme....

We hope you've been enjoying all the fun projects from our
designers using our baker's twine creating fun things
for the Month of May!

Jessica here with a couple of cards to share that I had so much fun making with lots of twine and a cutesy stamp set... it's a match made in heaven!  I made my own rolled twine flowers in a rainbow of colors: lilac, midnight blue, honeydew, buttercream, mandarin, and maraschino

To make the flowers, I applied a large dot of liquid glue directly to the card base and rolled the twine around to cover the glue.  After all the flowers had dried, I went back with a fine tipped sharpie marker and added stems, leaves, and drew a rough circle around the twine.  After the entire card was assembled, I added some diamond stickles around the twine flowers and leaves and other spots on the card for some sparkle.  To finish off the flower centers, I added a large pearl.

To play along, you'll find all the details HERE

This week's winner will win a fabby prize from

So it's definitely worth playing for!

Have a great day!

It's Karola here and today I would show you how we can use twine with flowers on our creations. Oh, maybe not exactly with flowers, but leaves. I love when my flowers clusters on cards or layouts have some small but cute leaves, there are looks like a small bouquets.

For my card you can see below I decided to make handmade leaves using Honeydew twine:
Image of Honeydew - Light Chartreuse Green & White Baker's Twine
Simply I cut out a few leaves from white cardstock (the easiest way - I cut out by hand with scissors - you can create leaves in size and shape which you want and need). Then I smeared the liquid glue on my leaves (on both sides) and began to adhere twine, in neat rows, wrapping each leaf on both sides.

And here is the final effect - simple, easy, quick but unusual solution.

Thank you so much for visit us today!
Have a wonderful, creative week!

Jamie with you today sharing a fun tutorial using
label paper and of course twine!

This is one of my favorite ways to adhere twine to my
cards and I think once you try it, you will love it too!

1.  Cut a 2" piece of label paper to fit the width of your card.

2.  Adhere the non-sticky side of the label paper to the front of your card.

3.  Peel off the label paper backing and begin adhering your twine.

4.  Continue building your twine strips until you reach the thickness you want.

5.  You can add other colors easily by starting a new row!

6.  I placed a strip of ribbon below my twine to hide the gap between my twine and the scallop paper.

Super quick and easy!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
